Doula Service Packages
Hudson River Doulas offer a variety of packages with flexible pricing options to suit your individual needs as expecting parents. There are 3 service tiers which are selected during pregnancy as well as last minute support options (if available) if you choose us on your birthing day. Any of these packages provide the confidence and financial flexibility you need while approaching your baby's birthday. To maximize the benefits of your doula relationship, we strongly advise you to select a package with at least one Prenatal Session so that you can get acquainted with your doula and familiarize them with your birthing preferences and comfort measures preferences in advance of your birthing time.
Tier 3 is our Premium Package ensures the best support options are available for those expectant families who want to be well prepared with one prenatal home visit with your experienced doulas, providing parents with multiple perspectives and benefiting from our 20+ years and 1,000+ births of experience. Hudson River Doulas will provide birth support from active labor onward. Tier 3 includes 24 hours* of doula support during your birthing time and you will also receive one in-home postpartum visit in the first two weeks where your doula will check in with you, answer any newborn care questions you have, and reflect on your birth.
Tier 2 provides the growing family with one prenatal home visit where your experienced doula will work through with you exactly what your birthing needs and desires are so that we can best support you and help you to make informed birthing choices. Tier 2 includes 24 hours* of doula support during your birthing time and your doula will get you settled in with your baby prior to departing. There is no postpartum visit with Tier 2.
Tier 1 is our Simple Support Package, offering an affordable option for clients who are only seeking birth support without the need for prenatal or postpartum visits with our experienced doulas. This is a great option for repeat clients and those on a budget. Tier 1 includes 8 hours* of doula support during your birthing time and your doula will get you settled in with your baby prior to departing. There is no postpartum visit with Tier 1.

How to hire your doulas
Contact us to schedule your phone or in-person interview at one of our locations: Poughkeepsie, Beacon, or Newburgh.
After your interview, complete and return your signed contract and retainer. Click here to view and print our Doula Services Contract to register and retain your spot. Clients are accepted on a first come, first serve basis in order of received contracts. We will hold your spot on our calendar for two weeks following your interview. We do limit the number of clients we take per month so please return your contract in a timely manner.
After you have mailed your Doula Services Contract, complete our online prenatal info form which helps us to understand the birth your are picturing as well as gets you thinking about the many different aspects of the birthing process. If you are utilizing our Placenta Services, either as a stand alone service or in addition to an above listed package, you may complete the online Placenta Services Registration Form by clicking here. Be sure to pack your provided Placenta Transport Kit in your birth supplies bag to safely store your placenta. We mail your kit straight to your home for your convenience. Pop it in your birth bag and call us when you're ready!
If you are looking for Postpartum Doula support in addition to Birth Doula support, please contact us to discuss your needs. Postpartum Doula support is booked in 4 hour time slots at $40/hour for days and $50/hour for nights. We can help with newborn care, postpartum care such as snacks and meals, giving parents a break to nap or shower, sibling support and light household tasks.
